Literacy: Reading Strategies & Graphic Novels
During this 30 minute class period, students will learn a variety of reading strategies, play reading games, read short stories, poems, and graphic novels, and learn to synthesize and evaluate what they are reading. The points from this course will be counted towards all core classes including math, English, history, and science.

Monday & Tuesday: Reading aloud in class or in partners, graphic novels, comprehension
Wednesday: Reading strategies, short passages, reader's theater, vocabulary
Thursday: Aimsweb testing, reading games
