Yearbook 2009-2010

This is a semester long elective course that will include in-depth practice and application of journalistic methods, interviewing, writing, and graphic design. There will be a heavy emphasis on developing journalistic writing style, and projects will include reading and writing news, feature, sports, and editorial articles. Students will apply photography and graphic design knowledge to create photographs and layouts that are visually appealing. Students will also make extensive use of their working knowledge of Photo Shop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Publisher to create the school yearbook and newspaper/magazine.

Johannes Gutenberg

You are responsible for creating a timeline of Johanness Gutenberg's life. On your weebly site under the yearbook tab, write a brief description of who Johannes Gutenberg is. Next, create a time line about the life of Johannes Gutenberg and about how his invention, the printing press, influenced the development of newspapers. The timeline can be created in PowerPoint, Word, or Publisher. The timeline must include at least three pictures. Don't forget to include facts about the printing press!
