English II A
Course Overview:
During the semester we will read Anthem by Russian-American author Ayn Rand, engage in hot topic debates, write an expository paper, and read various short stories and poetry from the American canon. This course will highlight many American authors, poets and playwrights from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present. This course fulfills core requirements and meets the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts.
